Foreign Policy

I have heard the comments where one Japanese was saying.
What he said was Japanese prime minister needs to spend outside of Japan for 180 days in a year traveling around to negotiate with other countries' heads to make the foreign policy smooth.

I was quite surprised to hear that news this morning. But after I read the story (sorry this is in Japanese), he makes sense in his way. Japanese government is not good in dealing with foreign countries for sure.
Especially the relationships between Japan and the US government are getting worse and worse in last couple of years after the former prime minister Junichiro Koizumi resigned.

This might be because of the frequent changes of the prime ministers in the last 6 or 7 years. Myself is not able to count the prime ministers of Japan after year 2004. Koizumi, Abe, Fukuda, Aso, Hatoyama, Kan, and Noda (now).... Already 7 people!!! Quite a lot in less than a decade for sure.

Japanese prime ministers need to have some government officials who are reliable to handle things in the country and go outside for getting more of the foreign supports than now for sure. It will be hard to spend half year outside of the country in this unstable politics inside Japan. But, definitely, Japan is losing its appearance in outside countries.
